Contracts from 1939 1940 are rare because they were all cancelled.
His wages were £2, 5 shillings in the summer, £3, 5 shillings during the season, plus a £1 win bonus and a 10 shilling draw bonus
What Alldis could not have known, of course, was that the 1939 1940 season would never happen because of World War II.

His Tranmere Rovers career lasted from 1938 – 1948 and he later played for New Brighton (twelve appearances in their final Football League season), Prescot Cables and Bangor City. He died in 1998.
