Up for sale here is are not one, but TWO
ORIGINAL `Sporting Pinks` from the early part of the last Century.
These were horseracing newspapers but also detailed the `pools` and betting forecasts for Football matches.
These particular issues comprise of single sheet publications and have been removed from a bound library volume. So RARE are these items that they are possibly the ONLY REMAINING copies for these particular dates in the world !! (unless I`m proved otherwise…which is highly unlikely !!!)
In these issues, the First and Second Division League Tables are printed together with the Southern League. Proudly sitting on top of the First Division are Blackburn Rovers 96 YEARS AGO !!
Also detailed in these newspapers are previews of “Today`s Principal Soccer Fixtures” (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS ) with a mention of Blackburn`s important trip to Bradford City who were lying 3rd.
