signed in biro on a newspaper picture which
has been removed from an old autograph album.
Jack Rowley was a Manchester United striker in
the 1940’s – 50’s and won the FA Cup in 1948
Jack Crompton then became The Manager of Oldham Athletic and Ajax Wrexham + Bradford
Jack died at the ripe old age of 77 1n 1998
Jack Rowley went from Wolwerhampton Wanderers to Bournemouth and was signed by Man Utd for 3,000 pounds aged 17 in 1937, scored 4 in his second came for the club. Won FA Cup in 1948 and the League in 1952. He is the brother of the legendary Arthur Rowley who still holds the League scoring record with 434 goals, mainly for Shrewsbury.
