Peter Doherty played for Manchester City in the 1930’s and Derby County in the 1940’s
this newspaper picture is of Derby v Aston Villa and laid on to card.

Peter Doherty went from Glentoran to Blackpool and then Manchester City for a club record 10,000 pounds. Won a League Championship with City in 1937 and the FA Cup with Derby County in 1946. Joe Mercer described him as the ” greatest player that ever lived”.
